SPD became the winner of the A.K. Gastev Cup Productivity Leaders Competition in the Leader of Business System Development nomination, the results of which were announced on April 12 at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. The formal award ceremony took place on April 14 at the closing plenary session of the Forum. The Leader of Business System Development Cup was handed over to Sabina Yagizarova, Corporate Affairs Manager at SPD, by Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, and Alexey Baranov, Chairman of the Board at Public Movement “Lean Forum. Lean Production Professionals”.

Besides coming first in the “Leader of Business System Development” nomination, SPD also won at the score of the face-to-face assessment by experts who visited the Salym group of oil fields in 2017. The company became the leader in the total score by three dimensions – People Development, Process Development and Sustainable Development.
Alexander Galkin, Asset Integrity and Engineering Manager, spoke about SPD business improvement activities at the round table Best Russian Production Systems: Experience of Leaders of the A.K. Gastev Cup Competition that took place on April 12. He shared the company’s business improvement strategy and ARISTO continuous improvement system with the audience, and also gave examples of improving the efficiency of company’s operations by implementing various programs and projects, including those on associated petroleum gas utilization, maintaining production integrity, developing Safety Culture and ASP-based oil recovery enhancement.

Competition for the Cup named in honor of Alexey Kapitonovich Gastev – a researcher and one of the founders of scientific labor organization – has been held annually since 2010. It has three stages – receiving applications for participation, audits of participants’ production systems by members of the Expert Group, and summarizing the results with the award ceremony for contestants. The grand prize of the Competition of Productivity Leaders is the A.K. Gastev Cup. It is awarded to companies demonstrating best productivity performance over the year by two dimensions, Process Development and People Development. Besides the main prize, results are summarized by nominations – Absolute Leader Among Corporations, Leader in Process Development, Leader in People Development, Leader in Sustainable Development, Leader in Production System Development, Leader in Business System Development, Productivity Leader, and Lean Region.Back to
